Privacy policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026. This policy explains how The Dream Guidebook (“we”, “us”), at thedreamguidebook.com, handles information when you visit.

1. What stays on your device

The dream interpreter, the dream journal and the seven day recall course run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us or to any third party. The journal and your course progress are saved in your browser’s local storage, together with your day or night display choice. We cannot see them, and clearing your browser data deletes them. Download a backup from the journal if you want to keep your entries.

2. What we collect

  • Server logs. Like any website, our server records each request: IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type and referring page. We use logs to keep the site running, secure it and understand which pages are read. Logs are rotated automatically and kept for a limited time.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and message to reply and to log corrections.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a client-side analytics script on the site.

3. Advertising and cookies

The site loads Google AdSense code and may display advertising served by Google and its partners. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or through aboutads.info. More on how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising cookies are used only with your consent, collected through a consent banner when advertising is active.

Some links go to Amazon and carry our Amazon Associates tag. If you buy after clicking, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set cookies when you arrive, under its own policy. Affiliate links are marked sponsored and disclosed on the page.

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of personal data we hold about you, to restrict processing, and (in the EU and UK) to portability and to complain to your data protection authority. Because the tools keep your content on your own device, the personal data we hold is limited to server logs and any email you send. To use your rights, write to contact@thedreamguidebook.com.

8. Changes

We will update this page, and its date, if our practices change. The previous version said the interpreter used a third-party AI service. That was incorrect, and is logged on the corrections page.
